Ted Markland
Ted Markland has appeared in more than 60 feature films and television shows in a career that has being going on for almost fifty years. He has shared the screen with such stars as Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, Eddie Murphy, and Jeff Bridges. Western fans remember him for his featured role in The High Chaparral as ranch-hand Reno. His roles throughout his career have been diverse. Though he started his career as a stand-up comedian, today Ted is often cast as the "bad guy", possibly due to his height of 6'4". But he is not all bad. Ted's softer side appeared in his recurring role in the family TV series, Father Murphy as well as in appearances in the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color episode Blackbeard's Ghost and the situation comedy Nanny and the Professor. Feature films include One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Wild Bill, Another 48 Hours, Wanda Nevada, Play it Again, Sam and Angels from Hell. He has appeared in such classic TV shows as Bonanza, The Wild, Wild West, Dallas, Knight Rider, Rockford Files, Charlie's Angels, and Hill Street Blues. Ted's recent roles include the comedy Cyxork 7 and the drama Footsteps. He can also be heard on Don Collier's radio drama West of the Story.
